Hmm, Progress on ICA s are going well i guess.
Although, i made a fool of myself today in Effective Comm. ICA 2, i enjoyed nothing of that : 6 ( Ironic)
Still, the thoughts linger

No posting season

As im doing so many School Projects [ Micro econs,pom, Stats and INTWEB] Ive been posting alot lesser now but i like some free time in my life.
My life is still quite hectic though.

ICA on Friday

Friday 5th June is the day where 2 ICAs [ PoM and Accounting] will battle it out, Only 1 Guy can take the pressure and change all that!!! I AM THAT GUY!!!

Anyway , revising PoM because Accounting is easy for me now : )

Long time

Have been busy recently, Lost my PSP in school, did my Micro econs ICA [ Barely finishing it no less ] but overall i just feel downright grateful for the fact that i have time to ponder on my life. I need to train harder if i am to bypass all my mental barriers.

Its nearing my HTML ICA test, im not afraid as ive been preparing, its been a hectic last week due to all the ICAs hitting me. But ive come out with more understanding than ever!!! : )

I Hate

Finished my speech presentation. The teacher is biased against me, i don't like that, my classmates are busybodies and i don't like them. I must study harder to surpass them, I HATE MY CLASS!

Classmates must think im some outcast, they don't know me. sometimes i feel so out of place that i feel like disappearing. I feel so emotional.

Class is slowly losing its fun side.

Teacher of effective com. is biased against my speech, i Hate her too.

I must beat everyone, they have lost my respect to care for them.

So readable, i can read my classmates like a book.

They don't know, i've been planning, i know how to beat them , academically and life wise.

I just noticed something about my classmates, The girls are camwhores[Picture snaping addicts] and people in my class are just to busybody!!!
I mean , people are soooo keen on looking at what im doing right now!!!
Hmmm, to all busybodies in my class, SCRAM!!!! You people go find someone else cause its Very rude to gleam onto something thats NOT your business!!!!

Im better now , got an MC for 2 days and submitted it to my PM's desk, PM meaning personal mentor not prime minister!!!

hmmm, i just finished a comic book arc called Countdown to final crisis and its pretty ..... soso.

Maybe i'll review it next time.

But now , i've recovered and need to prioritise my stuff, well ive done the html for INTWEB and submitted it but now there is this ICA speech im quite worried about, i need to re form my current speech about crisis of infinite earths but into what?? hmmm.

I also noticed that sick or recovering people tend to sweat more and faster than a normal person. Could it be the medications? could they be coming out of the body via sweat? So many things i need to understand today!

Sick: 7/5/2009

Today feeling sick,

Had a Fitness Assessment test yesterday at NYP's gym called 'BodyWatch'

People there were ok i guess , test result:

Flexibility: Excellent

Muscle strength: good

Abdominals: bad

Blood pressure: Abit high for someone my age

Pulse: Healthy

may have to go sick bay, feeling sicker as i type this in Stat class at 11:40am.

I also when to the Internet club orientation yesterday. Was standard but good, about programming, making our own webpage and playing with softwares Microsoft makes. Club is quite small but has its merits.

Swine flu : The H1N1 Virus

Today there was temperature taking and checks conducted throughout the campus, good thing its monday ,my shortest day. But i still need to do my hw and study for tommorrows ICA test, the INTWEB which is easy for me.

In the canteens , gates were set up and we needed to scan our student cards to enter, FEELS LIKE A PRISON SCHOOL!!!

In effective communication's class.

Day seems too quiet, going by very fast.

Sidenote: X-men origins review is

Wolverine and Sabertooth are bros.

Deadpool was killed off at the end,

Cyclops was a 10 year old kid ,

Gambit was cool though he was too underused and not much backstory.

Overall i give it 2 and a half stars out of 5.

Tales of the World 2 on PSP is quite fun, but too many characters and too long for a storyline but overall gameplay is the same.

Today, i did a soso presentation of Tutorial 1 with my group.
Classmates ask me for my Blog URL but im adamant to give it to them because of my own reasons.
Time as i write this is 11:21 am, going to go get my Student card at 2 to 4 pm during the make up class for Micro economics.
Feels like the class and i are a distant topic. Havent really cared much due to important social life OUTSIDE of school.

Now its a PoM Lecture , writing this IN the Theatre itself.

Ok seriously if there wasnt wifi in this room i would have just Ask to go to the toilet and hide inside for 2 fricking HOURS!!!!!

am at the back of the class, typing this and feeling the immense pressure of BOREDOM Creeping up.

Classmates on MSN were helping in linking blogs to me but i dont link back due to the fact that im a very SOCIAL=nono boy.

Bonding with the class has been very neutral, limited to chatting on MSN.

Second week has begun and im doing my homework for tomorrow, i shouldnt be typing this but since i have time i think its fine to say that my classmates are somehwt so-so, understanding would be still hard as the tension is still there , had an ok Weekend , did my workout but feel that burpees need more work.

Surrounded and in the 2nd row from the front, possibly there are NOSY people behing or next to me but i dont really care.

Trying to learn how to get on my wireless as i have been typing alot on Microsoft Word.

Note:1 jun 2009 ICA test [Written] 45 Min test : 10 % then 2 weeks ‘Break’.

ICA 2 is interviewing Managers , Real life ones and in groups.

OUR Principle of Management Textbook is $40!!! Hmmm it should be worth it judging by the price:

Me: Wow!! Its can survive a 10 foot Fall! And it can be used as Emergency Toilet paper!!! Such Power!!!

Good thing i already read the notes before this lecture thats why i can simply type as she is busy talking about why one should study management.

After the lecture, i when with some classmates to the CCA open house of NYP. Alot of flashy Clubs, i decided not to rejoin Chess or Boys Brigade but a new one. But which?

I joined the INTERNET CLUB, i figured that since im the module rep for INTWEB and since i like the Internet soooo much i may as well join a club based on it, i also signup for a free gym membership isnt that cool!!!?
We just study INTWEB how to create a blog and webpage,Neat stuff.
Now im at Koufu with some of my classmates eating .

After typing this i have to go see Mr Ivan Tan to help fix my currently inaccessible wireless :<

Earlier on , a classmate commented that i Looked fierce yesterday? Hmmmm.

So a breakdown on the clubs in NYP

Foreign Bodies: The dance group that is very popular in the campus.


Martial Arts-Takwondo, Wushu,Akido,Silat,kendo,peiquandao and judo: A wide range of styles to choose from, Being a martial artist in the past still haunts me as i remember the patterns and sequences a person had to do in wushu and the sometimes painful throws one did in throw arts of akido and judo.


NYP Sprint Kayak: A very interesting CCA, very strenous too.I mean they have a whole gym for the CCA!!! Thats extreme!!! I personally find the team’s motivation to be good!!

In the Koufu before lunch crowd comes in eating ice kacang [ blended ice with alots of colouring]

Costs $ 1.20 quite cheap, best i ever had was $0.90 in some hawer centre though.

Eating as i type this. Quite a bad idea but its for log’s sake.
Somehow, Eating and Typing while next to your classmates gives you a good feeling.

After finishing my Ice Kacang , going for the Next class on Principle of Management.

A new class. Accounting For Assets. [AFA]

Introductions,definitions....the same.

However whats good is that im typing this log IN class,The Thrill!
OF typing and NOT getting too loud, this feeling and thrill.

Still havent got my wireless access, writing these logs on Microsoft word and then copying it onto blog. Classmates are laughing at something on their coms and looking at each other, possibly MSN.

Lecturer hasn't told us her name, seems quite acknowledgeable to her students typing on Laptops while her lecture is going on.
Overall , lecturer seems un-organized but it is still the First lesson.
New classmate....Name is johnny , just came into class,class acknowledges him.

Interesting to note that Girls in my class seem to like brooding over questions , johnny didnt come for orientation and the first 2 days, some of my classmates [ girls of course] were wondering who johnny was, being guys we really paid little attention to it i guess.

Notes on NYP: A crowded enviroment, i learned that Koufu was a very crowded food court when in Lunchtime.

We learn at 0935am in class that ‘Johnny’ was actually Hanan or Annan, i really dont know the name but its somewhere along those lines.

Class made a ruckus when he entered they thought he was johnny when he was actually trying to say he was ‘ JOINING’ the module and sounded like ‘JOHNNY’. Poor guy .. . to get stunned but my complex class. : (

Thoughts: Maybe there IS no Johnny.

NYP log # 1

Reason for starting this blog is to chronicle the next 3 years of my life on the Nanyang polytechnic campus. Hopefully this log can help newer generations should it be found.

Time when writing:08:20 am
Im in the KOUFU, a canteen area in NYP , im in The school of Business Management and also in Business management.

So far this is Day 3 of my Nyp life and i still havent bonded too well with my classmates.

Classes end at 1350 for my Wednesdays however i plan to check the CCA logs to find my next CCA.

In my Secondary school life i was in Chess and Boy’s Brigade, should i keep faith to those CCAs or try something new? These were the questions plaguing my mind as i type this. Day 1 and 2 of my nyp life was very much expected, Lectures, tutorials and my classmates who apperantly have added me on MSN.

Today i must inquire about the internet club and workout CCA if possible, i honestly just call it workout CCA out of my person hobby of building muscle in the gym.

Recap from yesterday, i learned about the Course management system that NYP set up to keep student progress in check , could be a chore to log in constantly and keep track.

Classmate socialization: Being from an all boys school [ ACS [ Barker road] ] i never got well with people of the opposite gender, girls.
What i dont get about the girls in NYP is that they whine to the extent of me mentally breaking out in despair, doesnt help when the girls in my class outnumber the boys : (

So far ive only been introduced to 4 lectures :
Ms Karen chia,Mrs Geok Hoon, Mr ivan Tan and some guy who the entire class came late for , Ill probably call him ‘Quickie’ due to his fast slide show scrolling skills.

Current homework is a cross word puzzle set by Mr Tan for INTWEB which means Internet and Web.

Recap on lessons: Due to being the first week, tutorials and lectures were centered on introductions and definitions of the module we were studying, personally i prefer short intros and to get straight to lesson with a short definition.

I can get along with all the guys in my class, havent socialized that much with the girls though.

What im glad is that my ACS[Barker] schoolmate and last years classmate Jun ping is here.

But then again it is inevitable that i have to find new friends.
Lecturer assessment: I noted that NYP has a number of Part time lecturers most of whom are very friendly. I Noted that Mrs Geok Hoon seems to be perceptive but what puzzled me most about her was in yesterday’s intro ‘game’.

We were told to answer on the board our opinions on certain questions, i think there were around 7 questions.
I answered 3 to 4 questions, 1 i put in effort the others were done at an anyhow arrangement.
What is Micro economics to you?
Micro economics is the understanding of the decisions made that affect smaller parts of the economy and their costs and consequences.
The above answer was obviously from the top of my head.
That answer was highlighted out as expected, the other answers obviously wasnt, but 1 question:
What do you like about NYP
My answer: Anything i like.
Obviously my classmates can guess it was my answer due to poor handwriting.
Instead of thinking it to be an answer she thought it as a question....
